Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Coffee Shop Assistant to join our vibrant team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about delivering excellent customer service and ensuring a welcoming environment for all patrons. This role involves supporting daily operations, preparing food and beverages, and maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety within the shop. Previous experience in catering, serving, or hospitality is desirable, along with a keen interest in food safety and barista skills. Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and speciality drinks, following company recipes and standards.
- Assist customers with their orders in a courteous and professional manner.
- Support food preparation tasks such as heating toasties, panini etc, pastries, and light snacks.
- Maintain cleanliness of the shop area, including tables, counters, and equipment, adhering to food safety regulations.
- Restock supplies and ingredients as needed to ensure smooth daily operations.
- Handle cash register transactions accurately and efficiently.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing enquiries and resolving any issues promptly.
- Uphold health and safety standards at all times to ensure a safe environment for staff and customers.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in catering, serving, or hospitality is advantageous.
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques and food safety regulations.
- Barista experience is essential
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively during busy periods.
- Excellent communication skills with a friendly demeanour.
- Ability to work well within a team as well as independently when required.
