Job Summary

Duties
- Develop, test, and deploy high-quality software applications using languages such as JavaScript, Java, C#, Python, C++, and Ruby on Rails.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Maintain and enhance existing software systems, ensuring optimal performance and security.
- Utilise version control tools including GitHub, SVN, and Git to manage code repositories effectively.
- Design and implement APIs and RESTful services to facilitate seamless integration between systems.
- Work with cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure to deploy scalable applications.
- Write efficient SQL queries for database management using MySQL and SQL Server.
- Participate in code reviews, debugging sessions, and continuous integration processes to uphold coding standards.
- Contribute to front-end development tasks where applicable, ensuring user-friendly interfaces.
- Document technical specifications and user manuals for developed applications.
Experience
- Proven experience in software development across multiple programming languages including JavaScript, Java, C#, Python, C++, or Ruby on Rails.
- Familiarity with front-end development frameworks and tools such as HTML5, CSS3, React or Angular is advantageous.
- Hands-on experience with version control systems like GitHub, SVN, or Git is essential.
- Knowledge of cloud computing services including AWS and Azure for application deployment.
- Strong understanding of APIs (Application Programming Interfaces) and REST architecture principles.
- Experience working with relational databases such as MySQL or SQL Server is required.
- Proficiency in Linux environments and command-line tools is preferred.
- Background in software development methodologies including Agile or Scrum is desirable.
- Additional skills in VBA or .NET frameworks will be considered a plus. Pay: £27,342.07-£83,616.84 per year
