We are currently recruiting for an experienced and motivated Store Assistant to join our dynamic team who will be responsible for receiving deliveries and based in our Motherwell Office.
The successful Store Assistant will support the Supply Chain & Purchasing team through the provision of stock management and coordination duties. The role will be responsible for undertaking a variety of stock control and administration tasks, assisting with the financial administration of the store and any other general administration tasks as allocated by the Supply Chain & Purchasing Manager
Main duties:
· Receiving and inspection of deliveries for discrepancy or damage against delivery notes
· Site deliveries and logistics
· To ensure the stock bought is recorded on the system, all invoices are obtained, and stock is onsite or allocated to the correct jobs. Supplier collections and returns
· Ensure proper completion of documentation to receive an order or send stock back
· Participate in inventory management, including stock replenishment and organisation.
· Unloading store deliveries
· GRNing
· Allocating stock to jobs and making up job packs
· Calibration
· Assisting with the implementation of the store stock take schedule including processing and completion of stock takes
· Handle materials with care, ensuring proper storage to prevent damage or loss
· Maintain a clean and organised work environment, ensuring products are well displayed and stocked to promote safety and efficiency
Experience:
· Driving License is essential
· Excellent communication skills and attention to detail skills
· Excellent organisational skills, with an ability to manage, organise, and control your workload against competing deadlines within a demanding and ever-changing environment.
· Flexible, team player who can also work independently
· Proven ability to perform heavy lifting tasks safely and efficiently.
