BTC Group is a well-established property management company with over 40 years of experience in the property industry. We manage a large portfolio of residential properties across North London and surrounding areas and are looking for a reliable, skilled and professional Handyman / Maintenance Operative to join our team on a full-time basis.
This is a serious long-term position for someone who takes pride in their work, can manage a busy workload, and is confident carrying out property maintenance works to a high standard.
Duties will include:
General property maintenance and repair works
Plumbing repairs and fault finding
Electrical repairs and fault finding, where qualified and competent
Carpentry works
Painting, decorating and making good
Bathroom and kitchen repairs
Silicone replacement and mould treatment works
Preparing empty properties for quick turnaround and re-letting
Attending tenant-reported maintenance issues
Taking clear before and after photos/videos of works
Reporting updates clearly to the office maintenance team
Speaking professionally with tenants, landlords and office staff
Requirements:
Previous property maintenance or contractor experience
Good all-round knowledge of residential property repairs
Able to manage multiple jobs in one day
Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines
Reliable, punctual and trustworthy
Good communication skills
Comfortable working in occupied and vacant properties
Based locally in or around North London
Own van and tools preferred
Full UK driving licence preferred
All works are managed through our office maintenance team, with jobs scheduled, monitored and reviewed to ensure high standards are maintained. Applicants must be organised, professional and confident in their ability to complete works properly.
