Overview
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Housekeeper to join our team in the hospitality industry. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness and orderliness within our establishment, ensuring that guests enjoy a comfortable and welcoming environment. This position requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering high-quality service.
Responsibilities
- Clean and sanitise guest rooms, bathrooms, and common areas to ensure high standards of cleanliness are maintained.
- Change bed linens, towels, and other amenities as required.
- Dust and polish furniture, fixtures, and surfaces to enhance the overall appearance of the establishment.
- Vacuum carpets and mop floors to maintain hygiene standards.
- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to management promptly.
- Restock cleaning supplies and report shortages as necessary.
- Assist with laundry duties as needed to ensure the timely availability of clean linens.
- Follow all health and safety regulations while performing cleaning duties.
- Pay will be in line with the UK Government’s National Minimum Wage / National Living Wage, based on the employee’s age.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in hotel or hospitality housekeeping is preferred but not essential.
- Strong attention to detail with an ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Excellent time management skills to ensure tasks are completed efficiently within designated time frames.
- Good communication skills for interacting with guests and team members effectively.
- Physical stamina to perform cleaning tasks that may require lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- A positive attitude with a commitment to providing exceptional service.
