We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Porter to support ours chefs in maintaining a clean, organised, and efficient kitchen environment. This role is vital in ensuring that food preparation areas are hygienic and well-stocked, enabling chefs and kitchen staff to deliver excellent service. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for cleanliness, a positive attitude, and an interest in the hospitality industry. A great position for someone new to work or someone with experience in the industry.
Duties
- Wash, clean, and sanitise dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment to uphold hygiene standards.
- Assist with basic food preparation tasks under supervision, including peeling, chopping, and organising ingredients.
- Ensure the cleanliness of work surfaces, floors, and storage areas throughout the shift.
- Help with waste disposal and recycling procedures to maintain a tidy workspace.
- Support the overall smooth running of the kitchen by assisting chefs and other staff as required.
- Follow health and safety guidelines diligently to prevent accidents or contamination.
Skills
- Previous experience in food preparation or kitchen environments is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided.
- Strong organisational skills with an ability to prioritise tasks efficiently.
- Good communication skills and a team-oriented attitude.
