Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and physically fit Warehouse Worker that has experience in the Automotive industry particularly car parts to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for various tasks related to the efficient handling and management of stock within our warehouse environment. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop skills in materials handling, shipping and receiving, and warehouse management systems, contributing to the smooth operation of our logistics processes.
Duties
- Handling materials including loading, unloading, and moving stock throughout the warehouse
- Managing inventory using warehouse management systems to track stock levels and locations
- Picking and packing orders accurately for dispatch
- Stocking shelves and ensuring stock is organised and accessible
- Assisting with shipping and receiving procedures, including documentation and inspection of goods
- Conducting quality control checks to maintain high standards of product integrity
- Performing heavy lifting tasks as required, ensuring safety protocols are followed at all times
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised work environment
Skills
- Proven experience in warehouse operations or logistics roles
- Knowledge of materials handling techniques and safety procedures
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) or similar software
- Experience with shipping & receiving processes
- Strong picking & packing skills with attention to detail
- Stocking expertise with organisational skills for efficient storage solutions
- Good understanding of quality control standards in a warehouse setting
- Physical capability for heavy lifting and load/unload tasks
- Organised with the ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
This position is Temp to Perm for the right candidate, with excellent company benefits.
Shift:
Monday to Friday
8am to 4.30pm
You will be required to pass a DBS check
Pay: From £12.71 per hour
