We are looking for a senior Legal Subject Matter Expert (SME) with strong experience in BFSI, Legal Operations, Regulatory Transformation, and Technology.
Key Responsibilities
- Understand current legal workflows, pain points, manual processes, and compliance bottlenecks.
- Recommend industry best practices and optimised To-Be legal workflows.
- Guide technology teams in designing efficient, scalable, and future-ready solutions.
- Validate proposed technology solutions from Business, Legal, Regulatory, and Compliance perspectives.
- Lead/support client workshops and legal discussions.
- Identify risks and recommend practical mitigation strategies.
- Bridge Legal, Compliance, Business, and Technology teams.
Required Expertise
Strong knowledge of UK Financial Services Regulations, including FCA, PRA, Consumer Duty, SMCR, GDPR, MiFID II, EMIR, DORA, PSD2, AML/KYC, Sanctions, and Operational Resilience.
Experience in Banking, Capital Markets, Wealth Management, Insurance, or Financial Services is essential.
