You will be responsible for the day to day running of the kitchen. The role includes good organisation, compliance with Food Hygiene and Health and Safety standards, cooking and preparation of a healthy, balanced diet for children aged 0 to 5 years, taking into consideration special dietary requirements and preparing suitable alternatives. Essential skills include time management, ability to prioritise tasks, work as part of a team and showing initiative.
You will be responsible for ensuring the kitchen and equipment is kept suitably clean at all times including walls, floors, trolleys to transport food, all crockery, cutlery and cooking utensils are washed on a daily basis in accordance with food safety guidelines.
Experience working in a nursery/school and suitable qualifications in Food Hygiene would be desirable. We will require a clear Enhanced DBS check and adherence to all the Safeguarding policies and procedures.
The position is Monday to Friday, working between 30 and 42.5 hours per week. Salary: £27,500–£30,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience.
