You'll also support our laundry service, ensuring that bed linen, curtains and patients' personal laundry are managed with care and efficiency.
Whether you're making a bed, ensuring a patient’s laundry is returned with dignity, or helping to create a comforting and calm atmosphere, you’ll play a vital role in the day-to-day experience of our patients and their families.

Safely dispose of waste, including clinical waste, in accordance with infection control and colour-coding procedures

Support the laundry service: washing, drying, ironing, and returning items to the correct patient or location
Maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and infection control throughout the Hospice
Report any faulty equipment or issues to the Housekeeping Coordinator
What we’re looking for
Previous experience in a housekeeping, domestic, or laundry role (healthcare or hospitality settings ideal but not essential)
A conscientious, caring attitude and attention to detail
Ability to work independently and as part of a supportive team
Understanding of infection control, COSHH, and health and safety procedures (training provided)
A commitment to upholding the values of St Luke’s: Compassionate, Dignified, Inspired, and Pioneering
What we offer
A meaningful role in a respected local charity
A supportive, friendly team environment
