The Job Role:
The vacancies are for 2 part-time roles (26 hours per week across 4 days) throughout the 2026-27 academic year, working term-time only. You will be supporting ‘high-needs’ learners in working towards their vocational qualification goals and contributing to the development of learners at all abilities by providing support to teaching staff both in and out of the classroom.
The Candidates:
- Level 3 qualification (Teaching Assistant, Learning Mentor, Supporting Teaching & Learning or equivalent);
- Experience of working in an educational establishment, with an excellent understanding of and commitment to safeguarding;
- Sound IT skills with experience of using computerised systems and office based software;
- Able to follow lesson plans to support delivery of training and assessing learners' work;
- Able to interact positively, pleasantly and efficiently at all levels, both internal and external;
- Good organisational skills;
- Willing to seek guidance from senior staff and work in harmony with the responsible tutor(s) to provide consistent support to learners;
- Able to maintain absolute confidentiality of information;
- Able to work flexibly where required.

Anticipated start date for successful candidates will be 1st September 2026.
Due to the nature of the support work to be undertaken, these roles are not suitable for remote work and will need to be carried out in-person, on-site.
