Working within the utilities, highways, rail, construction, and infrastructure sectors, we provide safe, efficient, and non-destructive excavation solutions to some of the country's leading contractors and organisations.
Due to continued growth, we are looking to recruit a motivated and customer-focused Sales Representative to join our team.
About the Role
This is a hybrid role, combining office-based working with regular field-based customer visits. The successful candidate will be responsible for building and maintaining customer relationships, generating new business opportunities, and promoting the company's specialist vacuum excavation services to both new and existing clients.

Key Responsibilities Sales & Business Development
- Identify and develop new business opportunities across the construction, rail, highways, utilities, and infrastructure sectors.
- Promote Suction Excavation UK Ltd's specialist vacuum excavation services to prospective and existing customers.
- Follow up on quotations, enquiries, and sales leads.
- Maintain regular contact with customers to build long-term relationships and secure repeat business.
- Support sales and marketing initiatives to generate new opportunities.
- Attend client meetings, networking events, exhibitions, and industry events when required.
Customer Relationship Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing customers.
- Conduct face-to-face customer visits to understand project requirements and identify opportunities.
- Deliver excellent customer service and respond promptly to enquiries.
- Work closely with operational teams to ensure customer expectations are met.
Quotations & Administration
- Prepare and issue customer quotations.
- Accurately record customer information, quotations, and sales activities within company systems.
- Maintain up-to-date CRM and customer records.
- Provide administrative support to the sales function.
- Produce regular updates on sales activity and pipeline opportunities.
Requirements Essential
- Previous experience in a sales, customer service, account management, or business development role.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A confident and professional approach when dealing with customers.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Computer literate with experience using Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
Desirable
- Experience within the plant hire, construction, utilities, rail, highways, or infrastructure sectors.
- Knowledge of vacuum excavation or related specialist services.
- Experience using CRM systems.
- Proven track record of generating and converting new business opportunities.
