Warehouse Manager

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Warehouse Manager to oversee all aspects of warehouse operations within our organisation. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing inventory, supervising staff, and ensuring efficient logistics processes. This role offers an excellent opportunity for a professional with strong leadership skills and extensive warehouse experience to contribute to continuous process improvement and optimise supply chain performance. The Warehouse Manager will play a pivotal role in maintaining safety standards, enhancing operational efficiency, and supporting organisational growth.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily warehouse operations including, receiving, goods outwards, inventory management, and order fulfilment.
- Manage warehouse staff, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations to ensure high standards of productivity and safety.
- Systems (TMS) and Warehouse Management System (WMS).
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives to streamline workflows, reduce costs, and enhance overall efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the warehouse environment.
- Manage receiving activities, including scheduling, documentation, and liaising with carriers.
- Operate or oversee the operation of forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely.
- Analyse profit & loss data related to warehouse operations to identify areas for cost savings and revenue enhancement.
- Develop strategies for process improvement and optimise utilisation of Warehouse Management
- Maintain accurate records of stock levels, movements, and audits in accordance with organisational policies.
Qualifications
- Proven supervisory experience within a warehouse or logistics environment.
- Strong understanding of supply chain management principles and logistics operations.
- Knowledge of shipping & receiving procedures as well as forklift operation certification.
- Familiarity with 3PL providers and third-party logistics coordination.
- Demonstrated ability in process improvement initiatives and continuous optimisation strategies.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Analytical mindset with proficiency in profit & loss analysis related to warehouse activities.
- Strong leadership qualities combined with effective communication skills. This role is ideal for a dedicated professional eager to lead a dynamic team while driving operational excellence within a fast-paced environment.
Salary & Benefits
- Salary £50,000
- Monday to Friday working 08:00 -17:00
- Performance related bonus.
