Carluke Pharmacy is an Independent Community Pharmacy. We are a family run business and are part of Kirkmuirhill Pharmacy Ltd, which also includes Kirkmuirhill & Coalburn pharmacies. We pride ourselves on our patient care, going that extra mile to ensure our customers get the care they deserve. We are looking for a Part-Time NVQ2 Qualified Pharmacy Dispenser, or a Counter Sales Assistant who is keen to develop their career in pharmacy. If you are not yet qualified, we are happy to support you in completing your dispensing qualification while you work. The successful candidate will be responsible for accurately dispensing medication, ensuring that prescriptions are filled correctly and in a timely manner, and providing excellent customer service. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a Pharmacy environment, have excellent communication skills, and the ability to work well in a team, but also independently with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities
- Accurately dispense medications as prescribed by healthcare providers in a timely manner.
- Assist in the preparation and storage of medication orders, including counting, measuring, and mixing pharmaceuticals.
- Provide information to patients regarding their medications, including usage, side effects, and storage instructions.
- Maintain accurate records of prescriptions and medication inventory.
- Collaborate with the pharmacist and other dispensary staff to ensure efficient workflow and patient safety.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and safety regulations governing pharmacy practice.
- Maintain a clean and organised work area.
- Participate in ongoing training and development to enhance your knowledge of medications and pharmacy operations.
Experience
- Previous experience as a Pharmacy Dispenser is desirable, though not essential.
- Must be able to work Monday to Friday.
- Familiarity with medication administration practices and patient care protocols.
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills are essential for managing multiple tasks effectively.
- Excellent communication skills to interact with patients and healthcare professionals confidently.
- A commitment to maintaining high standards of patient confidentiality and safety.
