What You'll Be Doing
As Assistant Bar Manager, you'll work alongside the Restaurant Manager to oversee the daily operation of the bar, ensuring consistently high standards of service, quality, and presentation.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting the day-to-day management of the bar and leading the team during service.
- Creating exceptional cocktails with confidence, creativity, and consistency.
- Sharing your passion for mixology by coaching and developing the team.
- Delivering an outstanding guest experience through knowledgeable, friendly service.
- Maintaining high standards of cleanliness, organisation, and compliance.
- Managing stock, ordering, and minimising wastage.
- Supporting recruitment, training, and performance management.
- Assisting with rotas and ensuring efficient staffing levels.
- Contributing ideas for seasonal cocktail menus and drinks promotions.
- Building positive relationships with suppliers and keeping up to date with industry trends.
What We're Looking For
We're looking for someone who has:
- Previous experience as a Bar Supervisor or Assistant Bar Manager in a quality hospitality venue.
- Strong cocktail and mixology skills, with knowledge of classic and contemporary cocktails.
- A passion for premium spirits, wines, beers, and seasonal ingredients.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- The ability to motivate, inspire, and develop a high-performing team.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- A calm, positive approach under pressure.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and bank holidays.
