We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Qualified Early Years Educator to join our childcare team. Duties
- Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate activities that promote learning and development in line with early years frameworks
- Supervise and support children during daily routines, playtime, and organised activities
- Ensure the safety and wellbeing of all children at all times, adhering to health and safety regulations
- Manage daily administrative tasks, including maintaining accurate records of children's progress and attendance
- Lead and mentor junior staff members, fostering a collaborative team environment
- Communicate effectively with parents and carers regarding children's progress, behaviour, and developmental needs
- Organise outings and activities that support outdoor learning experiences
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of the nursery’s educational programmes and policies
Requirements
- recognised qualification in Early Childhood Education or equivalent (e.g., Level 3 Early Years Educator qualification)
- Proven nursery experience with a strong understanding of child development principles
- Demonstrable management and leadership skills within a childcare setting
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written
- Ability to work effectively with children, providing nurturing support tailored to individual needs
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple responsibilities efficiently
- Commitment to safeguarding procedures and maintaining high standards of childcare practice
