About the Role:
To manage all production and employees on the night shift including both Pasteurisation and Hygiene teams.
Pasteurisation Responsibilities:
· Plan resources (manning and equipment) to achieve production plan.
· Produce mixes according to the plan and recipes.
· Participate in new product development with Quality/Technical Manager.
· Liaise with Quality/Technical Manager and Production Manager regarding process, product and quality system issues.
· Liaise with Production Manager regarding production planning and resources.
· Liaise with Engineer and Production Manager regarding maintenance and breakdown of equipment
· Train the staff to the necessary procedures to ensure they are performing their job/task in a competent manner .
· Respect and ensure that pasteurisation operatives respect and execute all procedures (QP, PP, HP) and HACCP system at all times.
· Ensure that pasteurisation operatives engaged in activities related to CCPs carry out their job/task efficiently.
· When applicable to the responsibilities or on a specific allocated task, respect the procedures in place to control CCPs:
- CCP Temperature (Raw milk delivery, Raw milk storage).
- CCP Pasteurisation (Pasteurisation, Chilling).
· Respect all pre-requisite procedures in place.
· Complete the pasteurisation paperwork/due diligence records in a correct and readable manner to ensure total Traceability according to “Traceability” procedure PP 002.
· Collate and check daily production file.
· Participate in internal audit and GMP audit.
· Carry out any other task requested by Production Manager necessary to help Beechdean achieve its’ goals described in the company policies/statements.
· Ensure that all ingredients are available for the following few days production (including the thawing of any frozen ingredient stocks as necessary, respecting the “Defrosting” procedure PP 015.
· Continually feedback suggestions on how procedures/processes can be improved.
· Produce KPI information for use in tracking and improving performance and efficiency.
· Use KPI to improve efficiencies.
· Perform weekly calibration of equipment according to procedure QP 009.
· Respect the COSHH regulations and all other areas covered by the adopted Health and Safety Policy and procedures.
Hygiene Responsibilities:
To undertake and manage the hygiene team members and ensure that they complete the following:
· Maintain high standards of hygiene and housekeeping at all times according to the Hygiene procedures (HP) to keeping the working environment clean and safe and to ensure the manufacturing of safe products.
· Responsible for ensuring that the required quality, safety, hygiene and environmental standards are implemented and maintained.
· To ensure the hygiene standards, cleaning procedures, practises and equipment are continually re-evaluated in line with best practise, customer guidelines and legislation.
· To complete sign off all hygiene paperwork.

Pay: £30,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
