DAMAGED SOCIETY WAREHOUSE OPERATIVE
As a Warehouse Operative, you'll play an essential role in making sure our stock gets where it needs to be, accurately, safely and on time.
Working as part of our Distribution team, you'll support the day-to-day operation of the warehouse across goods-in, stock processing, picking, packing and dispatch.
You'll help ensure products are received and stored correctly, orders for our retail stores and online customers are picked accurately, and everything leaving the warehouse is packed securely and ready for its journey.
This is a practical, hands-on role in a busy working environment. You'll need to be comfortable being on your feet, working at pace and getting stuck into whatever the operation needs that day.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
We're interested in how you work as much as where you've worked before.
You'll need:
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- A reliable and punctual approach to work.
- A strong work ethic.
- The ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Good organisational skills.
- The ability to follow processes and instructions accurately.
- The confidence to work independently when required.
- The ability to work positively as part of a team.

Previous warehouse or logistics experience is desirable but not essential. Experience using inventory or warehouse management systems and an FLT licence would also be advantageous.
If you haven't worked in a warehouse before but you're reliable, organised, willing to learn and care about doing things properly, we'd still like to hear from you.

WHAT WE EXPECT FROM YOU
Our warehouse is a team environment. Everyone contributes to how well it works.
We expect our Warehouse Operatives to:
- Take ownership of their work.
- Care about getting things right.
- Ask questions when they're unsure.
- Communicate problems, delays or mistakes promptly.
- Treat colleagues with dignity and respect.
- Take Health & Safety seriously.
- Look after Company stock and equipment.
- Support colleagues when the operation needs it.
- Accept feedback positively and use it to develop.
- Take pride in maintaining a clean, safe and organised workplace.
Mistakes happen. Hiding them causes problems.
We'd much rather have someone who puts their hand up, asks for help and learns than someone who pretends to know everything.

HEALTH & SAFETY
Safety is everyone's responsibility.
You'll receive appropriate training for the tasks you're required to undertake, and you'll be expected to follow all Health & Safety policies, procedures, training and safe systems of work.
You'll also be expected to report hazards, accidents, incidents and near misses promptly and to take responsibility for both your own safety and the safety of the people working around you.

DEVELOPMENT
We want people to grow with us.
You'll receive ongoing training and support to help you perform at your best and develop your knowledge of warehouse operations.
We expect you to take ownership of that development too: ask questions, seek feedback, learn new skills and be open to improving the way you work.
For people who demonstrate the right attitude, capability and performance, there may be opportunities to develop further within our Distribution operation and the wider business.
