Job Overview
We are seeking a workshop finisher to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a keen eye for detail and a passion. This role requires both technical finishing skills and the ability to communicate effectively with clients to understand their vision. The finisher will be responsible for delivering high-quality finishes in residential and commercial properties.
The candidate will be responsible for sanding and finishing all joinery products manufactured by us. Most of the work will be undertaken in our workshop but some site visits will be required to touch up joinery products after fitting.
Duties
- Prepare surfaces for painting, including cleaning, sanding, and filling holes or imperfections.
- Apply paint, varnish, and other finishes using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment.
- Mix paints and other materials to achieve desired colours and textures.
- Ensure all work is completed to a high standard, adhering to safety regulations and best practices.
- Communicate with managers to discuss project requirements, timelines, and any changes needed during the process.
- Maintain tools and equipment in good working order, ensuring they are cleaned after use.
- Keep work areas tidy and organised throughout the duration of projects.
- Some working away may be required, staying away bonuses are paid for this work.
Skills
- Proficient in various painting techniques and knowledge of different types of paint and finishes.
- Strong communication skills in English to effectively interact with clients and team members.
- Ability to drive to various job sites as required.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Capability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating reliability and professionalism.
