Delphic International Ltd are seeking enthusiastic drivers to aid our ever expanding UK-Italy groupage service. Our reputation depends on having polite, professional, competent drivers. This is a customer facing role. You are our representative and it is vital that our customers are impressed with our service starting with the driver interaction.
Responsibilities
Delphic International Ltd runs a bi weekly Italian groupage service. My drivers depart the UK early on a Sunday (0400am) and return Thursday evening / Friday morning or Late Tuesday (2200hrs) to return Sunday afternoon. . We run Swiss via the Simplon pass and the Gotthard. Vehicles and drivers face regular enforcement checks throughout Europe and Swiss so complete compliance with all regs for both vehicle and driver and load are essential. Loads must be strapped, Trailers must be sealed and parked carefully. Checks for Clandestines are an essential part of the job. Whilst we plan for a weekly roundtrip, delays can happen and drivers should be prepared for such an eventuality. Successful candidates will be crossing the Swiss Alps twice a week and should be aware that this is not a job for the faint hearted. I describe my drivers as workers not shirkers. They are the wild horses that need holding back. This is not a job for those that like to do the minimum required. Our trucks are left hand drive, training can be given.
Qualifications
C+E (essential)
ADR packages, all classes except 1 & 7, (Training can be provided)
Valid passport
Valid DCPC
Self confidence. (You will be dealing with customers and various enforcement agencies that don't speak your language)
