Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Apprentice Care Assistant to provide high-quality support to individuals in our care homes. The successful candidate will play a vital role in enhancing the well-being and independence of those in their care, ensuring they receive respectful and personalised assistance. Duties
- Assist residents with daily activities such as personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility, promoting dignity and independence.
- Support residents with feeding, ensuring nutritional needs are met.
- Maintain accurate records of care provided, adhering to organisational policies and procedures.
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care.
- Support residents in engaging with social activities and community outings where appropriate.
- Follow health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe environment for both residents and staff.
- Utilise IT systems to update care records and document relevant information efficiently.
Qualifications
- Experience working within a care home is not essential; training will be provided.
- Valid driving licence is advantageous, due to localities of the homes.
- Good command of English, both spoken and written, to communicate effectively with residents and team members.
- Strong IT skills for maintaining accurate records and using organisational systems.
- Excellent communication skills, demonstrating empathy, patience, and professionalism when interacting with residents
- Ability to work well as part of a team in a caring environment.
