The Role
As a Scan Assistant, you will support our sonographers and help ensure every patient receives a safe, professional and memorable experience.
Main Responsibilities
- Assist sonographers during ultrasound appointments.
- Prepare and maintain scan rooms and clinical equipment.
- Welcome and prepare patients for their appointments.
- Support reception duties, bookings and telephone enquiries.
- Print scan photographs, reports and gender reveal keepsakes.
- Maintain a clean, safe and hygienic environment.
- Deliver exceptional customer service and patient care.
- Provide reassurance and emotional support during sensitive situations.
- Complete administrative tasks and support the daily running of the clinic.
About You
You will have:

- Excellent spoken and written English with confident communication skills.
- Outstanding customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Good computer literacy and confidence using digital systems.
- The ability to work calmly and efficiently under pressure in a busy clinic.
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
- A caring, professional and positive attitude.
- The ability to follow clinical procedures accurately and maintain confidentiality.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and across both clinic locations when required.
Previous healthcare experience is desirable but not essential, as full training will be provided.
