Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Telehandler Operator to join our construction and logistics team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating telehandlers efficiently and safely across various sites, ensuring the smooth movement of materials and equipment. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a background in commercial driving, mechanical knowledge, or experience with excavators to contribute to large-scale projects in a dynamic environment. Must have correct license and own transport
Duties
- Operate telehandlers to lift, move, and position materials accurately on construction sites or warehouses
- Conduct routine inspections of equipment to ensure safety and operational readiness
- Assist with loading and unloading materials from lorries or storage areas
- Collaborate with site managers and other operatives to coordinate material deliveries and placements
- Maintain detailed records of daily operations and equipment usage
- Perform basic maintenance tasks and report any mechanical issues promptly
- Adhere strictly to health and safety regulations at all times, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
Experience
- Proven experience operating telehandlers in a commercial or construction setting
- Mechanical knowledge relevant to maintaining and troubleshooting telehandler machinery
- Experience operating excavators is desirable but not essential
- Valid licence for telehandler
- Familiarity with site safety protocols and regulations
This position requires a proactive approach, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety standards. Candidates should be organised, capable of working independently or as part of a team, and comfortable working in outdoor environments under varying weather conditions.
Pay: £20.00 per hour
