Responsibilities and Duties
- Maintaining positive relationships with customers
- Ensure the room to ensure high quality childcare and hygiene standards
- Implement EYFS curriculum and room planning
- Responsible for ensuring comprehensive development records
- Developing childcare practice with regard to SEN and behaviour management
- Ensure the effective implementation of Key Worker system
- Responsible for performance management of team assigned
- Support, supervise, motivate and give clear guidance to staff reports
Priorities for the role
- Up-to-date knowledge of EYFS curriculum
- Proactively ensuring a safe environment
- Ensuring a clean and hygienic environment for all
- Maximising learning opportunities throughout the day for children
- Planning and delivering fun, original, creative and challenging activities
- Completing comprehensive learning and development records
- Reflecting on practice and taking personal responsibility for CPD
Qualifications, Skills, Experience
- A minimum of NVQ 3 in Childcare, or equivalent
- Experience of working in a related childcare environment (0-4years old)
- Maths and English GCSE or equivalent
- A current first aid at work, safeguarding and food hygiene qualifications
