Duties
- Safely operate <PERSON> vehicles, including commercial lorries, adhering to all road safety regulations and company policies.
- Deliver goods to various locations promptly whilst maintaining professional customer service standards.
- Load and unload cargo, often involving heavy lifting, with attention to safety procedures.
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance issues promptly.
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding schedules or delays.
- Assist in warehouse activities such as stock organisation and inventory checks when required.
- Ensure all deliveries are completed within designated timeframes, demonstrating excellent time management skills.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar logistics role, with strong commercial driving skills.
- Valid <PERSON> driver’s licence with a clean driving record.
- Experience in warehouse operations and handling heavy lifting tasks.
- Excellent communication skills for liaising with clients and team members professionally.
- Ability to operate various types of delivery vehicles safely and efficiently.
- Good organisational skills with the capacity to manage multiple deliveries throughout the day.
- Physical fitness to handle heavy lifting and long periods of driving or standing.
