Duties
- Greet guests warmly and present menus with enthusiasm.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders, ensuring special dietary requirements are noted.
- Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation.
- Check on guests regularly to ensure satisfaction and address any concerns promptly.
- Handle payments accurately, including processing cash and card transactions.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the dining area, including tables, utensils, and service stations.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth operation during service periods.
- Upsell menu items where appropriate to enhance guest experience and maximise sales.
- Follow health and safety regulations diligently to uphold hygiene standards.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a similar role is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided.
- Excellent communication skills with a friendly, approachable manner.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a busy environment.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail.
- A positive attitude and team spirit are essential qualities for success in this role.
- Knowledge of food hygiene standards is desirable but not mandatory; training will be available for those interested in developing their skills further.
