Job Overview
We are seeking enthusiastic and professional Server/Barstaff for an Italian Restaurant. This role involves delivering exceptional service to our guests, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere, and maintaining high standards of food safety and cleanliness. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for hospitality, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Previous restaurant experience is preferred but not essential, as training will be provided. This position offers an opportunity to develop valuable skills within a dynamic team setting.
Responsibilities
- Take orders accurately and serve food and beverages promptly to guests
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks in accordance with licensing laws and company standards
- Provide friendly, attentive service to ensure a positive guest experience
- Maintain cleanliness of the bar and dining areas, adhering to food safety regulations
- Handle cash transactions accurately using the point-of-sale system
- Restock supplies as needed to ensure smooth service operations
- Assist with setting up and clearing tables during service hours
- Manage multiple tables efficiently while maintaining high levels of customer care
Requirements
- Previous experience in hospitality or restaurant roles (Italian Restaurant) is advantageous but not essential
- Knowledge of food safety standards and licensing laws
- Strong serving skills with a friendly and professional attitude
- Good organisational skills with effective time management abilities
- Basic maths skills for handling payments and bills accurately
- Ability to work well under pressure in a busy environment
- Excellent communication skills and a personable demeanour
- Shifts in the evening 6pm-10pm
