Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and highly skilled Electrical Systems & Telecommunications Specialist to join our innovative engineering team. Duties
- Develop detailed electrical schematics and system designs using CAD tools such as AutoCAD, Revit, MicroStation, and SolidWorks to create precise technical drawings and layouts.
- Conduct root cause analysis on electrical system failures or performance issues utilizing signal processing techniques, MATLAB, Simulink, and other diagnostic tools to identify underlying problems swiftly.
- Design and implement telecommunication systems incorporating Surface Mount Technology (SMT), Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), ARM microcontrollers, and firmware development with C++, Python, Perl, and other programming languages.
- Perform debugging, soldering, and testing of electronic assemblies to ensure compliance with specifications and quality standards.
- Collaborate with mechanical engineers to integrate electrical systems into mechanical designs, leveraging knowledge of surface mount technology and system design principles.
- Utilize simulation software such as MATLAB/Simulink for modeling system behavior under various operational scenarios.
- Prepare detailed schematics and technical documentation for electrical circuits, system architecture, and telecommunication infrastructure using CAD software like Revit or MicroStation.
- Support system integration efforts by troubleshooting electrical issues through systematic root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions efficiently.
- Maintain comprehensive records of all system configurations, test results, and troubleshooting procedures to ensure traceability and compliance with industry standards.
Experience
- Proven experience in electrical engineering with a focus on system design, troubleshooting, and integration of complex electronic systems.
- Strong background in telecommunications infrastructure development including fiber optics, wireless systems, or related technologies.
- Hands-on experience with schematic capture, PCB layout design (Revit, MicroStation), and surface mount technology assembly processes.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as C++, Python, Perl for firmware development and automation tasks.
- Familiarity with simulation tools like MATLAB/Simulink for modeling signal processing or control systems.
- Knowledge of ARM microcontrollers, Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), and embedded firmware development is highly desirable.
- Ability to perform debugging tasks involving soldering, signal analysis, and firmware troubleshooting within electronic assemblies.
- Mechanical knowledge related to integrating electrical components into mechanical systems is a plus.
- Experience working with CAD software for creating detailed schematics and technical drawings aligned with industry standards.
