Role Overview
A Senior Class Assistant supports students and instructors in a Kumon Study Centre by helping maintain a positive, organised, and productive learning environment. The role involves assisting with class preparation, marking work, providing guidance to students, and ensuring smooth day-to-day centre operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist students during class sessions with basic guidance and encouragement
- Mark worksheets and record student progress accurately
- Prepare class materials and organise student files
- Support the Instructor and class assistants with classroom management
- Help maintain a quiet, focused, and welcoming learning environment
- Monitor attendance and assist with administrative tasks
- Ensure worksheets and learning materials are stocked and filed correctly
- Communicate politely and professionally with parents and students when needed
Skills & Qualifications
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong attention to detail and organisation
- Ability to work patiently with children of different ages
- Basic maths and English proficiency
- Reliable, punctual, and professional attitude
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced classroom environment
- Previous tutoring or childcare experience is helpful but not always required

Working Conditions
- Usually evening and weekend shifts
- Part-time hours based on student schedules
- Training may be provided by the centre
Pay: £7,000.00-£12,000.00 per year
