Role Overview
As a Trainee Dental Nurse, you will work closely with dentists, hygienists and other members of the dental team to provide excellent patient care. This role offers hands on experience while supporting your training towards a recognised dental nursing qualification.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures.
- Prepare and maintain dental instruments, materials and equipment.
- Ensure treatment rooms are clean, organised and fully stocked.
- Decontaminate instruments and adhere to infection prevention and control procedures.
- Welcome patients and help them feel comfortable before, during and after treatment.
- Maintain accurate patient records and update clinical notes as required.
- Support reception duties when needed, including answering telephone calls and booking appointments.
- Comply with all practice policies, health and safety regulations and confidentiality requirements.
- Attend training sessions and complete coursework towards a recognised dental nursing qualification.
