Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Fish Fryer to join our culinary team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking fish dishes to high standards, ensuring excellent food quality and safety. This role offers an opportunity to develop culinary skills within a vibrant restaurant environment, contributing to a memorable dining experience for our guests. Working 3 long shifts and having 4 days off, this role offers the perfect work/life balance. We also rotate weekend shifts as best as possible
Duties
- Prepare fresh fish and accompanying ingredients in accordance with recipes and quality standards
- Cook fish to ensure optimal flavour and presentation
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including equipment and work surfaces
- Follow food safety protocols at all times, including proper handling, storage, and sanitation procedures
- Assist with meal preparation and plating to ensure timely service during busy periods
- Support the team in serving food to customers when required, providing friendly and efficient service
- Monitor stock levels of ingredients and notify management when supplies need replenishing
Requirements
- Previous experience in frying Is essential
- Knowledge of cooking techniques specific to fish and seafood is advantageous
- Understanding of food safety standards and hygiene practices within a commercial kitchen environment
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure whilst maintaining attention to detail
- Good organisational skills and the ability to work as part of a team
- Flexibility to work during peak hours, including weekends and evenings if necessary
