We are looking for a Lead Experience Designer who can shape the overall experience of our products and establish a consistent design direction across the business.
This is not simply a visual design position. You will define how users interact with our platforms, guide important product decisions and ensure that every experience balances creativity, usability and commercial goals.
You will lead and support a small design team while working closely with product managers, software engineers, marketing specialists and external partners.

Key Responsibilities:
Experience Strategy:
Define and communicate the overall experience vision for our digital products. Ensure that design decisions support both user needs and business objectives.
Design System Management:
Develop and maintain a scalable design system that provides consistency across websites, applications and interactive platforms.
End to End Product Design:
Lead the design process from early research and user journey mapping through wireframes, prototypes, usability testing and final developer handover.
Team Leadership:
Mentor junior and mid level designers, organise design reviews and provide clear feedback that improves the quality and consistency of the teams work.
User Research:
Plan and conduct interviews, usability sessions and customer feedback activities. Use research findings and product data to improve designs and reduce assumptions.
Cross Functional Collaboration:
Work closely with product, engineering, marketing and commercial teams to ensure designs are practical, technically achievable and aligned with company priorities.
Stakeholder Communication:
Present design concepts and recommendations to internal decision makers and external partners. Clearly explain the reasoning behind important experience and interface decisions.
Quality Assurance:
Review implemented designs and work with development teams to ensure final products accurately reflect approved specifications and accessibility standards.
What We Are Looking For:
Experience:
At least 6 years of professional experience in user experience, product design or digital interface design, including experience mentoring designers or leading significant design projects.
Portfolio:
A strong portfolio demonstrating complete design projects, including the original challenge, research process, design decisions, testing and measurable outcomes.
Design Tools:
Advanced knowledge of Figma, including components, variables, auto layout, interactive prototypes and design system management.
Leadership Skills:
The ability to guide designers, provide constructive feedback and create a collaborative environment that supports high quality work.
Communication:
Strong written and verbal communication skills with the confidence to present ideas to technical teams, commercial stakeholders and external partners.
Commercial Awareness:
An understanding of how user experience, customer engagement and business performance influence one another.
Mindset:
You are practical, curious and comfortable working in a fast moving environment. You know when additional research is needed and when a strong solution is ready to move into development.
Pay: £67,007.00-£80,000.00 per year
