Main Purpose of Job
To own and develop client relationships whilst ensuring the successful delivery of projects, campaigns, marketing production, print, POS and digital services. The Account Manager acts as the central link between clients, suppliers and internal teams, driving operational excellence, commercial performance and exceptional client experience.
The role requires a proactive and commercially aware individual who can manage multiple projects simultaneously, identify opportunities for account growth, maintain accurate reporting and ensure all work is delivered to agreed quality standards, budgets and SLAs.
Main Responsibilities
Client Relationship Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with client stakeholders, becoming a trusted day-to-day partner.
- Understand client objectives, challenges and opportunities to support long-term account growth.
- Lead client communications, meetings and project updates with confidence and professionalism.
- Ensure a consistently high level of client satisfaction across all projects and services.
Project & Production Management
- Take and interpret client briefs, ensuring requirements are clearly understood and documented.
- Manage projects from briefing through to completion, ensuring delivery to specification, budget and deadline.
- Coordinate internal teams, suppliers and stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution.
- Oversee production of marketing materials, print, POS, retail, digital and campaign-related deliverables.
- Monitor project progress and proactively manage risks, issues and changes.
Commercial & Financial Management
- Support the profitable growth of client accounts through effective account management and upselling opportunities.
- Manage project budgets, estimates, purchase orders and invoicing processes.
- Negotiate supplier costs where appropriate to maximise profitability.
- Monitor account performance against agreed targets and commercial objectives.
- Ensure work is delivered efficiently, within scope and in line with business processes.
Data, Reporting & Account Planning
- Maintain accurate account data, forecasts and reporting information.
- Produce and interpret management information, client reports and performance metrics.
- Monitor service levels, KPIs and SLA performance.
- Use reporting insights to identify trends, opportunities and areas for improvement.
- Support Account Directors with account planning and strategic development.
Operational Excellence
- Ensure all projects follow agreed processes, systems and quality standards.
- Drive continuous improvement by identifying inefficiencies and recommending better ways of working.
- Maintain accurate records within business systems, client portals and project management tools.
- Support adoption of technology and AI tools where they improve efficiency, accuracy or service quality.
Team Collaboration & Leadership
- Act as a positive role model within the business.
- Support and mentor Account Executives, Administrators and junior team members where required.
- Collaborate effectively with studio, production, procurement, logistics and delivery teams.
- Contribute to a culture of accountability, continuous improvement and excellent client service.
Required Knowledge & Skills
Essential
- Proven experience in Account Management, Client Services or Project Management within an agency, production, print, marketing or brand execution environment.
- Strong commercial awareness and understanding of account profitability.
- Experience managing multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
- Excellent client relationship and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong written, verbal and presentation skills.
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
- Experience using project management and reporting platforms.
- Strong understanding of production, print, POS, marketing execution or campaign delivery.
- Ability to analyse data and convert insights into actionable recommendations.
- Appropriate use of AI tools to improve efficiency, productivity and output quality.
Desirable
- Experience with Airtable, MediaHUB, Accura or similar platforms.
- Experience managing websites or digital platforms.
- Adobe Creative Suite knowledge.
- Procurement or supplier management experience.
- Experience working with large national or multi-site client accounts.
