Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality patient care by assisting with personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility needs.
- Support clients with medication administration following prescribed schedules and safety protocols.
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary requirements and preferences.
- Assist with light housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean and safe living environment.
- Provide companionship and emotional support, encouraging social engagement and mental stimulation.
- Manage behavior effectively, especially in cases involving dementia or Alzheimer's care, ensuring comfort and safety.
- Drive clients to appointments, errands, or social activities, ensuring timely and safe transportation.
Skills
- Proven experience in assisted living, home care, or nursing home environments.
- Strong patient care skills with knowledge of dementia, Alzheimer's, hospice, and senior care needs.
- Ability to handle heavy lifting safely when assisting with mobility or transfers.
- Excellent communication skills for engaging with clients and their families clearly and compassionately.
- First aid certification and knowledge of emergency response procedures.
- Valid driving license with a clean driving record for client transportation duties.
- Experience in caregiving roles including childcare or behavioral management is a plus.
