We currently have a fulfilling opportunity for a Maintenance Officer in our residential care home for older people in Preston.
The Maintenance Officers play a key role in the smooth running of our care home. Outside contractors are only used where absolutely necessary, so you will need a good level of practical skill, including basic plumbing, electrical and carpentry, as well as general maintenance skills for looking after the home and the grounds. Maintenance Officers also look after health and safety records, conduct fire tests, as well as fire training and health & safety training for all staff.

Provide a high-quality maintenance service;

Carry out general household maintenance;

Maintain and develop the grounds of the home to provide an attractive living space for our residents;

Perform routine decoration work to a good standard;

Perform small-scale building tasks (fitting and adapting);

Perform maintenance work to equipment and appliances;

Maintain records as required by your manager;

Attend meetings and training activities including fire and evacuation procedures, health and safety etc. as required; and

In addition to the duties and responsibilities listed, you are required to perform other duties assigned by the Business Manager from time to time that are within your capabilities.
