Goldholme Stone is a well-established limestone quarry and stone manufacturer supplying natural stone products across the UK. We are looking for a reliable and experienced Class 1 & Class 2 HIAB HGV Driver to join our growing team.
The role will involve delivering stone products from our quarry to customers, building sites and other locations throughout the UK.
The Role
- Driving Class 1 and Class 2 HIAB HGV vehicles for deliveries across the UK
- Delivering stone products safely and efficiently to customers and building sites
- Loading and unloading stone and other materials
- Operating vehicle-mounted equipment where required
- Carrying out daily vehicle checks and reporting any defects
- Completing delivery paperwork and maintaining accurate records
- Ensuring all loads are secured correctly and safely
- Working within current drivers' hours, tachograph and transport regulations
- Representing Goldholme Stone professionally when dealing with customers and site staff
- Working safely within a busy quarry and yard environment
Requirements
- Valid Class 1 (Category C+E) and Class 2 (Category C) HIAB HGV licence
- Valid Driver CPC
- Valid Digital Tachograph Card
- Previous HGV driving experience
- Previous experience in the quarry, construction or building materials industry would be advantageous
- Good knowledge of UK roads
- Reliable, punctual and responsible
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- A good understanding of health & safety requirements
