Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook to join our vibrant culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation and a strong understanding of kitchen operations. Duties
- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and standards
- Assist in the organisation and setup of the kitchen before service
- Ensure all food is prepared in a timely manner to meet customer demands
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of workstations throughout shifts
- Follow food safety and hygiene regulations diligently
- Collaborate with team members to deliver exceptional dining experiences
- Serve dishes promptly and professionally to guests when required
- Monitor ingredient stock levels and notify management of shortages or expiry issues
Qualifications
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or as a kitchen assistant within a restaurant setting
- Strong knowledge of culinary techniques and meal preparation processes
- Familiarity with food safety standards and hygiene practices
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure during busy service times
- Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail
- Prior experience in serving or front-of-house roles is advantageous but not essential
- A positive attitude, team-oriented approach, and willingness to learn new skills
