Job Title: Contracts Manager
Reporting to: UK & NI Operations Manager (Installations)
Salary: Up to £45,000.00 per annum – Depending on experience.
Place of Work: Witham – Travel across the UK is necessary as required.
Hours of Work:
8am – 5pm Monday to Friday (some nights out and out of hours work necessary)

About the Role The Contracts Manager is responsible for the planning, coordination, and delivery of allocated subcontract installation works, ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, within scope, and to the required quality standards. The role acts as a key operational link between customers, subcontractors, and internal teams.
Responsibilities:
Plan, manage, and oversee all allocated subcontract installation works from initial instruction through to completion.
Undertake site visits to assess queries, issues, or variations, and develop appropriate plans to resolve them.
Coordinate and oversee the implementation of agreed work plans, ensuring subcontractors adhere to specifications, timelines, and safety requirements.
Carry out scheduled and ad hoc site visits to monitor progress, quality, compliance, and health & safety standards.
Conduct post-completion inspections to ensure works meet contractual requirements, design specifications, and quality expectations.
Act as the operational point of contact for allocated customers, responding to and resolving issues or concerns promptly and professionally.
Provide regular updates to the Operations Manager (Installations) regarding progress, issues, risks, and workload.
Support the office-based teams to enable the smooth and successful delivery of contracts. able
Attend internal and external meetings as required, including project reviews, customer meetings, and subcontractor briefings.
Assist with departmental cover during periods of absence where required.
Carry out any other reasonable duties commensurate with the role.
Skills and Experience Required
Proven experience in a Contracts Manager, Project Manager, or similar operational role, within construction, manufacturing, installations, or a subcontracted environment.
Demonstrable experience of managing multiple workstreams or sites simultaneously, from planning through to completion.
Strong understanding of site operations, quality assurance, and safe systems of work. Experience of managing subcontractors, including coordination, performance monitoring, and issue resolution.
Ability to interpret drawings, specifications, and work instructions.
Excellent organisation and planning skills, with the ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines.
Strong problem-solving skills, with a practical and solutions-focused approach.
Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to liaise confidently with customers, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders.
High level of attention to detail and commitment to delivering work to agreed standards.
Competent IT skills, including use of Microsoft Office and project or job-tracking systems.
Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel extensively across the UK.
Pay: £30,000.00-£45,000.00 per year
