LABOURER / TRAINEE JOINER WANTED
VS Joinery – North East
I’m looking for a young, hardworking and motivated person to join me as a labourer with the aim of progressing into a skilled joiner.
I’m looking for someone who wants to learn a trade properly and is willing to start from the ground up. You’ll be working alongside me on a range of joinery and renovation projects, gaining practical experience and learning as you go.
The initial role will involve general labouring and assisting on site, but for the right person there is real opportunity to progress as your skills and confidence develop.
I’m particularly interested in someone who:
- Has a good attitude and strong work ethic Is reliable and turns up ready to work Is practical and enjoys working with their hands Takes pride in doing things properly Is keen to learn and improve Has a genuine interest in becoming a joiner Doesn’t necessarily have previous joinery experience — potential and attitude are more important
LOCATION / TRANSPORT
Ideally, the successful applicant will be based locally to Morpeth or surrounding areas, and ideally have a driving licence and access to their own transport, due to the nature of site work and travel between jobs. However, this is not essential for the right person.
LONG-TERM PROGRESSION
For the right person, I would consider investing further in their development, including potentially putting them through a private/fast-track NVQ Level 2 Site Carpentry apprenticeship.
The goal is to find someone with the right potential, train them up from scratch and develop them into a skilled joiner, with the opportunity to become a long-term part of the business.
