Property Inspector – Lettings & Property Management
£14.00 per hour | Full-time or part-time hours available
We’re looking for a friendly, reliable and organised person to join our team at HNC Lettings & Property Management.
The main part of the role is carrying out inspections at the properties we manage. You’ll spend part of your time out and about visiting properties and the rest in the office writing up your findings and working alongside our maintenance team.
You don't need previous property inspection experience as full training will be provided. We're more interested in finding the right person – someone who is dependable, has a good eye for detail and is comfortable meeting and speaking with tenants.
What you'll be doing
- Carrying out routine inspections of our managed properties
- Completing check-in and check-out inspections when required
- Taking photographs and recording the condition of properties
- Spotting and reporting any maintenance issues or concerns
- Returning to the office to write up clear inspection reports
- Passing relevant information to our maintenance team so any necessary work can be dealt with
- Communicating with tenants in a friendly and professional way
- Helping us make sure the properties we manage are being well looked after
Who we're looking for
You don't need to have worked in lettings before. We'll teach you how we carry out our inspections and what to look for.
You will, however, need to be:
- Reliable and well organised
- Friendly and confident dealing with people
- Observant with good attention to detail
- Comfortable using a computer and writing up reports
- Able to work independently and manage your time
- Happy working both out at properties and in an office environment
- Comfortable using a phone/tablet to take photographs and record information
A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle will be required as you'll be travelling between properties.
Hours
We're happy to consider either full-time or part-time applicants, so there is some flexibility around working hours for the right person.
The rate of pay is £14.00 per hour, plus mileage allowance for business travel at the current HMRC-approved mileage rate
