Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Bar Manager to oversee the daily operations at The Shakespeare Durham, The successful candidate will be responsible for managing staff, ensuring exceptional customer service, This role offers an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual with a passion for hospitality and leadership to contribute to a vibrant environment. Previous experience in a bar settings is essential, along with strong team management skills.
Duties
- Supervise and lead bar staff, ensuring high levels of service and professionalis
- Manage stock levels, order supplies, and ensure proper storage of ingredients and beverages
- Organise staff schedules, delegate tasks, and monitor performance
- Ensure compliance with licensing laws and health & safety regulations
- Ability to grow the business
- Develop new drink menus and promotional offers to attract customers
- Maintain cleanliness of the bar area in accordance with hygiene standards
- Train new staff members in service procedures, safety protocols, and product knowledge
Qualifications
- Proven experience in hospitality management, ideally within bars or similar venues
- Supervising experience with team management capabilities
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively under pressure
- Hospitality experience with a focus on customer service excellence
- Leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and develop team members
- Real ale experience

Pay: £26,000.00-£30,000.00 per year
