As our business continues to expand, we are looking for an experienced and motivated Operations Manager to oversee our day-to-day operations, improve business processes, and support the achievement of our strategic objectives.
The Opportunity
We are seeking a highly organised and commercially aware Operations Manager who can lead operational activities, manage business resources, improve organisational efficiency, and support the continued growth of the company.
The successful candidate will work closely with the Directors to ensure business operations run efficiently while maintaining high standards of service delivery, compliance, and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee the day-to-day operations of the business.
- Develop, implement, and continuously improve operational policies, procedures, and workflows.
- Manage operational budgets and monitor business performance against agreed objectives.
- Lead, supervise, and develop administrative and operational staff.
- Coordinate multiple projects to ensure delivery within agreed timescales and budgets.
- Prepare operational reports, performance metrics, and management information.
- Monitor and improve business processes to increase efficiency and productivity.
- Work closely with Directors to implement business strategies and support organisational growth.
- Manage supplier relationships and oversee procurement activities.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, UK legislation, and industry best practices.
- Identify operational risks and implement effective mitigation strategies.
- Support recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and staff development.
- Oversee office administration, facilities management, and business support functions.
- Resolve operational challenges promptly while maintaining excellent customer service standards.
- Promote a positive, collaborative, and high-performing workplace culture.
Essential Skills and Experience
- Proven experience in an Operations Manager, Business Manager, Office Manager, or similar leadership role or Masters degree in management related program from UK based university.
- Strong leadership and people management skills.
- Excellent organisational and project management abilities.
- Experience managing business operations and operational budgets.
- Strong analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to prioritise multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office 365 (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams).
- Experience implementing operational improvements and business processes.
- Commercial awareness with a proactive approach to continuous improvement.
Desirable Skills
- Experience within media, digital services, marketing, or business support sectors.
- Experience using CRM systems and project management software.
- Knowledge of quality management systems and operational compliance.
- Prince2, Agile, Lean, or Six Sigma qualifications would be advantageous but not essential.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Operations Management, or a related field is preferred.
- Equivalent professional experience will also be considered.
