Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Residential Conveyancer to join our legal team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing property transactions from inception to completion, ensuring compliance with legal requirements and providing exceptional client service. The Residential Conveyancer will play a vital role in facilitating smooth property transfers, liaising with clients, solicitors, and other stakeholders throughout the process.
Duties
- Managing all aspects of residential property transactions, including sales, purchases, remortgages, and transfers of equity.
- Drafting and reviewing legal documents such as contracts, transfer deeds, and leasehold agreements.
- Conducting title searches and verifying property ownership details.
- Liaising regularly with clients, estate agents, mortgage brokers, and other solicitors to ensure timely progress of transactions.
- Providing clear advice to clients regarding legal procedures and requirements related to property conveyancing.
- Ensuring all transactions comply with current legislation and internal policies.
- Organising and maintaining accurate case files and documentation throughout each transaction.
- Managing deadlines effectively to ensure smooth progression of cases within set timeframes.
- Utilising IT systems efficiently for case management and communication purposes.
Experience
- Previous experience in residential conveyancing is essential.
- Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with clients and colleagues.
- Proficiency in IT systems relevant to legal practice management.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks efficiently.
- Good time management skills to handle multiple cases simultaneously under tight deadlines.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
