Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging and comprehensive grooming lessons to students, covering techniques such as bathing, trimming, styling, and health care
- Demonstrate grooming procedures on live dogs or models, ensuring safety and professionalism at all times
- Provide clear instructions and constructive feedback to help students improve their skills and build confidence
- Develop tailored lesson plans that meet curriculum standards and accommodate different learning styles
- Maintain training records, progress reports, and student portfolios
- Communicate effectively with students to answer questions, clarify techniques, and motivate continuous improvement
- Ensure a safe and hygienic grooming environment that adheres to industry standards and animal welfare regulations
Experience
- Proven experience in professional dog grooming with a strong portfolio of grooming styles and techniques
- Previous teaching or mentoring experience is highly desirable, especially in pet care or grooming education
- Excellent communication skills in English to clearly convey instructions and feedback
- Knowledge of IT tools for lesson planning, record-keeping, and virtual demonstrations if needed
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple students and maintain a structured learning environment
- Familiarity with plumbing systems used in grooming salons is a plus for understanding equipment maintenance
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team while demonstrating leadership qualities

We require experience in dog grooming. We can offer a teaching qualification and a level 3 diploma in dog grooming. Training will be given.
Pay is £13.50 per hour without a teaching qualification and £15 with.
Our hours are 8.30 - 2.30 Tuesdays - Fridays and 8-2 on a Saturday. We are looking for 3-5 days per week. Will include most Saturdays.
Pay: £13.50-£15.00 per hour
Expected hours: 15.0 – 25.0 per week
