Rental / Yard Assistant
Salford Van Hire Ltd, one of the country’s leading vehicle rental and contract hire companies, who have been trading for over 60 years, are looking to recruit additional ‘Rental/Yard Assistants’ who will be based within our high energy Rental Department at our Head Office address in Manchester.
Main duties for this role are to assist with the handing over and receiving of vehicles, before and after each rental, including explaining of controls, checking for damage and ensuring both fuel and AdBlue are at the correct levels plus general site duties.
Applicants with experience in this industry are preferred, but, those with established experience in a face-to-face customer service role will also be considered.
All applicants should have a good command of the English language both, written and spoken, be self-motivated with a positive attitude, be reliable and of smart appearance and be able to communicate clearly with customers and staff alike, you should also be able to remain calm and focused and able to pay attention to details at all times as they are essential to this role.
You must be able to work as part of a team, as well as alone, and be able to follow and retain instructions precisely and efficiently in a very busy environment.
For this role you must be in possession of a current and valid UK driving licence.
100% timekeeping and attendance is paramount for this role.
Hours of work: Between 4.5 and 6 days per week (but must include at least 1 day at the weekend), hours between 7am and 7pm – this can be discussed and finalised at interview.
Rates of pay: £12.71 per hour
