We are seeking a passionate and dedicated English Tutor with proven experience in preparing students for GCSE English examinations. Duties
- Deliver personalized tutoring sessions focused on GCSE English language and literature curriculum standards
- Assess students’ current abilities and create customized lesson plans to address their specific learning needs
- Support students in developing critical reading, writing, comprehension, and analytical skills necessary for exam success
- Utilize a variety of teaching methods and resources to keep lessons engaging, interactive, and effective
- Track student progress regularly, providing constructive feedback to encourage improvement
- Prepare students for exam formats, including practice questions, timed exercises, and review sessions
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and guardians to ensure clarity on goals and progress
Qualifications
- Proven experience in tutoring or teaching English at the GCSE level or equivalent academic stage
- Strong understanding of the GCSE English curriculum requirements and assessment criteria
- Experience working with children or young learners, including those with special educational needs
- Excellent communication skills to clearly explain concepts and motivate students
- Ability to adapt teaching strategies to meet diverse learning styles and abilities
- Passion for education and helping students succeed academically
- Relevant qualifications in education or English are preferred but not mandatory
