Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in providing high-quality support and care to individuals in care homes or within their own homes. Responsibilities
- Assisting residents or clients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, and mobility
- Supporting individuals with their personal care routines while respecting their dignity and privacy
- Implementing and updating personalised care plans in collaboration with healthcare professionals
- Providing companionship and emotional support to enhance well-being
- Assisting with medication management as per care plans and training
- Maintaining accurate records of care provided using IT systems
- Driving when necessary to support home care visits or transport clients to appointments
- Communicating effectively with team members, clients, and their families to ensure consistent care delivery
Experience
- Previous experience working within a care home or providing home care is desirable but not essential, as training will be provided
- Familiarity with developing and following care plans
- Basic IT skills for record keeping and communication purposes
- Proficiency in English, both written and spoken, for clear communication with clients and team members
- Driving licence is advantageous for supporting mobility needs and transporting clients safely
- Strong communication skills are essential for building trust and understanding clients’ needs
