Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Steel Fixer / Concrete Labourer to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be instrumental in shaping the foundation of our projects by installing reinforcing steel and assisting with concrete work. Your energy and attention to detail will ensure that structures are built safely, accurately, and efficiently. Responsibilities
- Set up and install steel reinforcement bars (rebar) according to engineering plans and specifications
- Measure, cut, bend, and tie rebar using hand tools and power tools to ensure precise placement
- Assist with pouring, spreading, and finishing concrete to meet project standards
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and mechanical equipment safely and effectively during construction activities
- Follow safety protocols diligently, including wearing appropriate PPE and maintaining a clean work environment
Requirements
- Proven experience as a steel fixer or concrete labourer in commercial or large-scale construction projects
- Ability to read technical drawings, blueprints, and engineering plans accurately
- Skilled in using hand tools such as pliers, hammers, chisels, as well as power tools like grinders and drills
- Mechanical knowledge related to construction equipment and tools is highly desirable
- Experience with carpentry, roofing, masonry or related trades is a plus
- Physical strength and stamina for heavy lifting and prolonged manual work
- Valid driver’s license with commercial driving experience preferred for site transportation needs
