Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Part-time Health Care Assistant to join our dynamic healthcare team. Responsibilities
- Assist patients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, feeding, and mobility to promote independence and comfort
- Support the creation and implementation of personalized care plans tailored to each patient’s needs
- Maintain clear and effective communication with patients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care
- Use IT systems to document care activities accurately and update patient records regularly
- Drive or accompany patients to appointments or outings as needed, ensuring safety and comfort during transportation
- Monitor patients’ health status, report any changes or concerns promptly to senior staff
- Uphold hygiene standards and ensure a safe environment by following health and safety protocols
Qualifications
- Previous experience working in a care home or providing home care is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided for the right candidate
- Valid driving license and ability to drive is highly desirable for transportation duties
- Good command of English language skills for effective communication with patients and team members
- Basic IT literacy to navigate electronic health records and documentation systems
- Strong communication skills with an empathetic approach towards patient care
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Willingness to learn about care plans, health protocols, and safety procedures
