Sales Assistant – Whitchurch
Halls is looking to welcome an organised, proactive and customer-focused Sales Assistant to join our Whitchurch, Shropshire office.
This is a great opportunity to join a long-established and well-respected property business, working as part of a busy and successful estate agency team.
This is a varied, hands-on role providing essential sales and administrative support to the branch. You will often be one of the first points of contact for clients and applicants and will play an important part in ensuring enquiries are handled promptly, properties are marketed effectively and the day-to-day administration of the office runs smoothly.
The Role
Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing and responding promptly to Rightmove and other online property enquiries, ensuring leads are followed up and opportunities are not missed.
- Answering incoming telephone calls and dealing professionally with client and applicant enquiries.
- Registering applicants and maintaining accurate records on the company’s property management system.
- Booking and coordinating property viewings and market appraisal appointments for the team.
- Preparing property brochures and marketing particulars, ensuring information is accurate and presented to a high standard.
- Making properties live and available for marketing across the company website and property portals, checking that photographs, descriptions and property information are correct.
- Carrying out required Anti-Money Laundering (AML) checks and associated compliance administration in accordance with company procedures.
- Maintaining branch marketing materials, including window cards and property displays, ensuring these remain accurate and up to date.
- Supporting the team with general property administration and client communication.
- Keeping property, applicant and client records accurate and up to date on the company CRM system, Alto
- Providing general office and operational administrative support to ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the branch.
- Working closely with colleagues across the office to provide a consistently high standard of customer service.
- Ensuring company procedures, compliance requirements and standardised processes are followed consistently.
About You
We are looking for someone who is:
- Highly organised with excellent attention to detail.
- Confident and professional when dealing with clients, applicants and colleagues.
- Comfortable working in a busy, fast-paced office and managing a varied workload.
- Proactive and able to take responsibility for seeing tasks through to completion.
- Able to prioritise effectively and respond promptly to enquiries and new leads.
- Confident using IT systems and able to learn new software quickly.
- A strong team player with a positive and helpful approach.
- Experienced in estate agency, property or a similar customer-facing administrative environment would be advantageous, although full training can be provided.
